RAINN Day Volunteers

RAINN Day at the University of Arizona

RAINN Day is RAINN's annual campaign to stop sexual assault on college campuses. In 2008, RAINN Day reached over 1,000,000 students in all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and Canada with information on how to reduce their risk of sexual violence and what to do if they or a friend have been assaulted. Students and volunteers raised awareness through fundraising and educational events, volunteer drives, speakers, petitions, posters, and passing out RAINN Day cards and volunteer handouts.

More numbers from RAINN Day 2008:

  • 1,394 participant groups
  • 1.002 college campuses
  • 163 high schools and middle schools
  • MILLIONS of people reached
