Lead Web Producer

Position Description

The Lead Web Producer works under the VP of Communications to manage the design and development of RAINN's online presence through its web site, MySpace profile, e-newsletters, and micro-sites; also produces print and multimedia/video content.

Applicants must provide links to current work or online portfolio.

This is a full-time, on-site position at RAINN's Washington, DC offices.

Responsibilities

Management of online presence:

  • posting and formatting new content within proprietary CMS
  • reformatting/updating existing content
  • working with all departments to ensure accuracy and currency of all content
  • creation/design/preparation of site graphics (banners, buttons, headings, logos, and photographs)
  • creation/design of banner ads for third-party use (static and Flash)
  • reformatting/editing of video content for web and broadcast delivery

Creation/design/development of promotional and informational micro-sites

Creation/design/development of email newsletters

Creation/design of print documents (newsletters, brochures, handouts, posters)

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience
  • Proficiency in X/HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL - hand-coding a must
  • Proficiency in Photoshop/ImageReady, Illustrator, Flash; InDesign a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in: web standards, usability, navigation, and accessibility concepts; user interface design; information architecture; web design/layout, color, and typography principles
  • Knowledge of content management systems
  • Knowledge of multimedia/video applications
