Spring 2009 Community/Volunteer Outreach Internship

Position Description

RAINN is seeking a Volunteer/Community Outreach Intern for the Spring 2009 semester. College students with a commitment to ending sexual violence and helping victims of sexual assault are encouraged to apply. Applicable majors include, but are not limited to: Women's Studies, Sociology, English, Nonprofit Management, Communications and Journalism.

Currently, RAINN is working on a large volunteer recruitment campaign for the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, which is a revolutionary new service available for victims of sexual assault.

Responsibilities include:
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Community and university presentations
  • Organizational outreach
  • Campus event planning/attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

This is an unpaid, part-time position.

RAINN employees will work with the student and university to ensure college credit is given for the internship.
